Innovating the energy market is a balancing act of solution agility and flexibility on one hand, and reliability and security on the other. What sits in the middle is the ability to intelligently control how renewable energy systems interact or don’t interact with the electricity networks and how that interaction influences energy markets.
Balance have identified three levels of control drivers and strategies: Market Driven, Reliability Driven and Customer Centric Driven.

Despite a half hour power outage on the main feeder line, locals were able to continue life as normal thanks to the battery energy storage system (BESS). This large community battery provides instantaneous power for the town.
