The proposed generation management system (GMS) topology is a DC coupled system. The energy generated by the solar will prioritise charging of the batteries via a DC busbar. The battery will be responsible for feeding the loads via the PowerCore.

During periods of insufficient solar generation (cloud events) the control system will manage the discharge of the BESS, ramping output of the GMS in accordance with the requirements of the utility provider, Horizon Power.

Exmouth is a particularly challenging environment to deliver projects due to the it being in an area prone to extreme cyclonic activity.

Total production of this system is expected to be 472,298kWh per annum equating to a 54% renewable energy fraction and it will abate 105,757kg CO2 taking 54 cars of the road.
