Ngangganawili Aboriginal Health Service (NAHS)

NAHS provides critical hospital, remote GP, after-hours accident and emergency services in the Wiluna area. They wanted to reduce their energy bills through renewable energy so funds could be focused on health services. Balance was selected for our demonstrated capability to comply with Horizon Power’s generation management requirements for solar power. This is the first Class 3 system connected on Horizon Power networks

Balance Solution

Balance Solution

The system comprised 100kWp PV Modules and 3 x 40 kWh CESS (Cabinet Energy Storage Systems) to connect the roof mounted PV to the grid to provide seamless solar smoothing. Balance also facilitated securing of finance and negotiation of terms with Equigroup, a CBA subsidiary.

During the project, Horizon Power required additional active feed-in management. Balance worked with NAHS and Horizon Power to design and deliver a solution.

Results

The project was successfully commissioned and now supplies renewable energy to NAHS. It has generated significantly reduced electricity costs for NAHS and the community of Wiluna through Horizon Power grid.
